The Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Metallic Pack” is one of the most overlooked set of releases that were part of the original lineup of Peter Moore’s iconic design back in 1985. One of the pairs that were included in the pack was the “Metallic Red” color-way that released in 1986. 38 years later, the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Metallic Red” will be returning in 2024.
While the original launch was back in 1986, the Air Jordan 1 “Metallic Red” has seen a handful of retros over the years. In 2009, they returned as part of the “Do The Right Thing” pack alongside the “Green Metallic” pair – both featuring Jumpman branding on the tongue and heels. In 2017, which was the last time we seen them, the shoe included the traditional “Nike Air” branding, but there were still some difference compared to the ’86 OG. But for the 2024 release, the shoe is expected to return in OG form.
Dressed in a classic White and Red color blocking. This offering of the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 is expected to feature a White leather base with Metallic Red detailing the Swoosh logos, collar, and Wings. Red “Nike Air” branding on the tongues atop a White midsole and Red rubber outsole completes the design.
