Salehe Bembury x New Balance 574 “Yurt” Releases October 22nd

Inspired by classic and archival New Balance styles, the upper of the 574 Yurt uses the closet staple New Balance 574 as a design foundation since the original is a trail running shoe that came out in the 80’s. Additionally, they pulled elements from the archived New Balance 755.

A trail shoe at its core, the shoe comes complete with a whistle on the heel which puts emphasis on outdoor safety and survival. In keeping with the outdoor theme, the campaign touches on several different environments starring actor Jesse Williams among other VIP guests. This will also be the first time the brand and designer are releasing apparel including a hat as well as t-shirts, pants, and hoodies all in two colorways.

UPDATE 10/5: New Balance reveals Salehe Bembury’s latest 574 “Yurt” collaboration inspired by classic and archival New Balance styles. The two colorways and apparel collection will release October 22nd on NewBalance.com for $150 USD each for the footwear, $60.00-$140 USD for Ready-to-Wear, and $30 for accessories. Additional colorways will launch later this season.
